The Minnesota Wild have fired head coach Bruce Boudreau, the team announced Friday.

Dean Evason will take over as interim head coach. Prior to joining the Wild as an assistant coach, Evason served as the head coach of the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals from 2012-18, amassing a cumulative 242-161-53 record.

Boudreau took over as the Wild’s head coach in 2016-17, posting a cumulative 158-110-35 record with the team.

This is the eighth head coaching change of the season in what’s been an unusually tumultuous year in the NHL.

More to come.
