Red Sox Drop Second Straight Game To Orioles Despite Last Inning Push

The Boston Red Sox battled late Sunday.

After taking the first two games of their four-game set against the Baltimore Orioles, the Red Sox dropped the final two matchups.

The Orioles took down the Red Sox by a score of 5-4 on Sunday despite Boston’s late come back effort.

After entering the ninth inning trailing by three runs, Jackie Bradley Jr. clobbered a two-run shot to left field to cut the deficit to one. But the Sox wouldn’t be able to push another run across to knot the score.

Prior to the matinee matchup, NESN’s Tom Caron and Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Jim Rice highlighted Rafael Devers as someone to look out for Sunday as he entered the contest on a hot streak. The young third baseman cooled down somewhat Sunday finishing the game 0-for-4.
