Milan Lucic, Bruins Strike First Vs. Predators With Second-Period Goal (Video)

The Boston Bruins definitely wanted to be the first on the board against a tough Nashville Predators team Tuesday night, and that’s exactly what they did.

Immediately after a Bruins power play early in the second period, Chris Kelly won a faceoff in the Predators’ zone, and a battle ensued. The B’s had two shots on Nashville goaltender Pekka Rinne before one off the stick of Milan Lucic sailed over Rinne’s shoulder.

It wasn’t the prettiest goal, but in a battle between two top goaltenders in Rinne and Boston’s Tuukka Rask, it’s about quantity over quality.
