The Washington Redskins may have started the movement, but the Cleveland Indians appear not far behind.
The Indians revealed Friday how the organization has had “ongoing discussions” and are determining the “best path forward with regard to our team name.”
The Redskins took the first steps toward potentially changing their name earlier Friday. It comes as both terms “Redskins” and “Indians” have drawn criticism as offensive terms to Native Americans.

Neither organization has changed their name yet, though. And it remains unclear when it could take place.
