Charlie McAvoy Shined In Bruins’ Overtime Winner Over Blue Jackets

Charlie McAvoy played a solid defensive game Saturday night for the Boston Bruins.

The B’s came out on top Saturday night over the Columbus Blue Jackets 2-1 in overtime at TD Garden and the second-year defense man was essential for the defensive effort.

The 21-year-old entered Saturday night’s contest with five points over his last five games and failed to record another against the Blue Jackets, but came up big in other ways.

To see how McAvoy matched up with Blue Devils defense man Markus Nutivaara in Saturday’s tilt, check out the “Bruins Breakaway Live” video above, presented by Rodenhiser Heating & Cooling.
